Davide and Alessandro
are two Veronese (Italy) multi-instrumentalists
from Irish traditional and metal
with 15 years of concerts behind them.

Media & Sound

Their sound has gone abroad and on almost all the stages of pagan / viking and celtic festivals, such as:

  • The Montelago Celtic Festival and Triskell
  • Two months of live in Dubai
  • WGT in Leipzig opening FAUN
  • Many other events especially in Germany, Ireland, Austria

They participated with their music in documentaries broadcast on national and satellite TV.

It is from their idea that Ragnarök - Viking & Nordic Folk was born, to propose a captivating repertoire of traditional Northern European songs in Scandinavian and modern languages, with some hints to the epic and fantasy world; Icelandic, Modern Norse and Old Norse mix to create an epic atmosphere, culminating in the musical recitation of the poetic Edda, the main source of Norse mythology.

The reinterpretation of various groups - such as the Wardruna - the soundtrack of the TV series Vikings and more and more unreleased songs, are accompanied by original Viking period instrumentation that blends with the modern and digital one, forging a suggestive and engaging performance.

RAGNARÖK ORCHESTRA

Teatro Alcione di Verona

Ragnarök - Nordic & Viking Folk, after having performed on the most important European stages of Scandinavian folk music, will perform in a national preview at the Teatro Alcione in Verona in a new guise.

The project involves the expansion of the lineup with the addition of 4 musicians (violin, cello, double bass and percussion).

The new musical arrangements will give life to a unique and fascinating adventure, on a journey through the worlds of Nordic myths and legends, between narratives, epic sounds and ancestral rhythms.

The formation of 6 elements amplifies the suggestion, giving body and expressiveness to the songs and emphasizing the rhythmic aspect that distinguishes this style.

An unmissable event for anyone who wishes to lose themselves in the charm of ancient Scandinavian culture by retracing some evocative episodes from the Edda.
